The dress rehersal for the performance of Heavy Hour took place before the performance of King on Betanjova, but it was a total washout. Matej Bor had to rework it. It was indeed a daring venture, since it was an attempt to stage the so-called literary drama in a Partisan environment. Filip Kalan asked Ciril Cvetko to provide musical accompaniment between individual scenes. This gave the play a certain grave intimacy. It was repeated twelve times and performed by two casts. In the first cast, the leading roles were played by Tiran, Košak and Mevlja, and in the second one Gale and Česnik played alongside Tiran. The female role was acted alternatively by Simčič and Mežan.
